The ASEAN Energy Awards is the first of such energy awards system in ASEAN. It consists of 3 categories including:
The ASEAN Energy Awards is Southeast Asia’s highest reward for excellence in the field of energy. The awards are expected to be the instrument to promote clean coal technology (CCT), energy efficiency, and renewable energy development to contribute towards energy sustainability and to provide mechanism for organisations to continuously search, benchmark and acknowledge initiatives and best practices in energy development.
In Coal Awards, winners and runners-up were identified every 2 years from various categories such as coal mining, CCT utilisation for power plant and industries, coal handling and distribution, CSR and special submission. In EE&C Best Practices Awards, this year we received the highest number of entries. The increase indicates the development in EE and adaptation of strategies and technology that prove substantial energy savings.

The board of judges (BoJ) for Renewable Energy (RE) Projects Awards meets every year to select winners for each category such as Off-grid (power and thermal), On-grid (national and local), Cogeneration, Biofuels and special submission.
