The ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and dmg events were honoured to co-organise the 2019 edition of the ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF 2019) held in conjunction with the 37th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM 2019) and hosted by the Ministry of Energy, Thailand.
Distinguished Government and Industry Representation
Across four days AEBF 2019 hosted Energy Ministers, Government officials and leaders from international organisations across the energy value chain from all 10 ASEAN member states and beyond. Attendees were able to learn about the latest regional energy investment opportunities and gain first-hand insights into the policy initiatives and regulatory environments that will guide future energy developments across the region. Guest government representatives, IRENA and the IEA also provided current world-view policy and regulatory perspectives.
In addition, C-suite executives from the global energy value chain, including: NOCs, IOCs, LNG suppliers, Renewable energy pioneers and technology innovators share best practice strategies, critical market insights, up to the minute project developments and ground-breaking technology innovations.
Moving ASEAN to a Lower-Carbon Future
AEBF 2019 successfully enabled ASEAN governments to showcase their national energy framework aspirations and how they expect business to contribute towards the realisation of these goals. The forum therefore served as the perfect environment to foster in-country investment missions, bi-lateral meetings between project owners, institutional investors and integrated energy solutions experts.
These activities will play an important role in how the ASEAN network source innovation across the energy system to invest in capital energy projects that transition into a clean energy future.
